I am currently the most requested snowboard instructor at Tahoe Donnor, which is the best place to learn at one of the best regions to snowboard in the world. That's awesome. In some ways, that makes me one of the best snowboard instructors on the planet. Which, is a crazy thought.
But I didn't earn my way there. Not in the least. I'm only the most requested because I'm one of 3 who are regular snowboard teachers and are certified. I only got certified because I was pushed to by my bosses. I only passed because one of the best guys working there at the time decided to teach us. Further than that, I only caught the Tahoe Donner job fair because Northstar's too far too long, and I didn't have time to go to Squaw's. I only got the job in the first place because I had experience, which I only had because I volunteered at Diamond Peak the previous year. I'd only done that because a friend my mom worked with brought me in on it. Heck, I only know how to snowboard in the first place because my dad is a snowboarder.
This is true about my entire life though. Anything I've accomplished or obtained isn't my doing. I'm really just along for the ride, growing in the process. Because, that's how God works. He blesses us with circumstance and causes us to grow through it.
So, if anything good comes your way, don't think for a second that you earned it. You didn't. It was given to you as a gift. Accept it as such, and don't forget to thank the one who sent it.
hope to see more.
